Some properties do away with Travelodge Sleepy Bear den, citing high costs in maintaining the type of room that is not consistent with the others. Sleepy Bear Dens remainder disappeared during the renovation, and is being converted to a standard room.

In November 2012, Travelodge hotels in Canada switching from guest to Wyndham Rewards, which means that points can be collected here as well. It is free to apply, all that is required is a name, address, phone number, and email (though email is optional).
Travelodge Canada also share an exclusive partnership with HBC, better known by its member stores Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters and more. This affiliation gives a Travelodge in Canada the opportunity to participate in the HBC Rewards [2], a unique program for Travelodge Canada.
